I would like to set my husband’s PC as my laptop’s server, what kind of wireless router should I buy?
This is my laptop’s configuration:
Intel Celeron M 410 Processor 1.46GHz
533 MHz FSB
1 MB Cache
1024 MB RAM
60 GB Hard Drive
Microsoft Windows XP Home
128mb ATI Xpress 200 shared graphics

I am hoping to buy a new laptop this week as mine has died. All I want is a good make for internet, downloading photos and to do some some work on. I am wanting to spend £400 MAX

What do I need to look for?

The price and spec of the Dell laptops looks good value but I’ve heard mix comments about their after sales in the event of breakdown. If you’ve bought from Dell in the past, would you recommend them?

A friend of mine has bought a new Toshiba Satellite Pro with Norton Security (anti-virus, firewall, anti-spam etc.). After about a month it has stopped working. He phoned Norton support and they told him to go and buy the disk from the shop.

I always assumed that when Norton came with a new laptop it was a time-limited version which simply required to be registered in order to become a full one. The only payment being for the annual subscription.

Has anyone else had this kind of experience: buying a brand-new Toshiba, using Norton for a while and then having to buy a new disk?

I want to buy a laptop at a US price but most websites just direct me to US stores. There must be a seller who will trade with people outside of the US and ship to Ireland or the UK. Either destination will suffice.
