My Quest A420’s hinge on the left hand side has developed a crack just above it. I bought this from Evesham micros in June 2006. Will my warrentee cover this?
I looked it up on the interent and found that other laptops have this same problem. Oh and just to add insult to injury the ‘W’ key has become very temperamental. I.e. you have to press it about three times before it finally types

It’s a Compaq Presario V4332EA, the 60 GB version.
It’s got:
Intel Pentium M processor 1.70GHz & 983 MHz.
760MB RAM.
It has MS Office 2007 on it and Windows XP Professional.
It has built in wireless and everything works as it should. Has a lot of ports along both sides and 4 USB ports.
I think someone may have upgraded the 60GB space as on the Internet the specs state 40GB.
(I was given this laptop 2nd hand, but no longer need it due to finishing university and owning a desktop instead.)
How much should I expect for it, roughly?

The battery & power pack are perfect too.
The mouse pad is slightly worn, otherwise it’s in very good condition cosmetically.
I know this is going to sound dodgy lol but was just wondering if i was to go and get a laptop/notebook through vodafone broadband, you know the ones where when you sign up to it you get the laptop free, would they be able to block the laptop/notebook if i didnt pay the bill, and would it matter if i had used the vodafone broadband or not, thanks in advance
Im aware of all the legal side ie taking me to court etc, but was just curious to wether the laptop would be blocked, i havent actually got one yet, but just wondering 
i am looking for laptops. i want least 1gb ram. with windows vista.with dvd reR. would be nice if it was not more than 500 pounds. do you think compaq good or should i pay more and get sony vaio?i have hp at the moment with 256 ram and it is useless. so slow.

I gave my Egyptian husband my old laptop. It was working fine and i had installed windows professional on it . He was using it when i was with him for a couple of weeks not long ago. Now he tells me it wont switch on. It comes up with the Compaq logo and thats it. No mention of windows at all.
I have told him to try the F buttons to change the bios but that didn’t work either.
anyone help please. i feel i cant help him from here as it is so expensive to phone with all the details. would be so grateful for any help as it was for chatting to him with which would save us a fortune on phone calls and texts.
