Okay, I was told that the computer (a netbook) that was recommended to me we totally inappropriate for college so I need help please.
I’m looking for a notebook-type laptop if possible and about €400. I’d prefer one that comes with XP home edition not vista.
and I can’t stress it enough that i do not want a dell or a mac (though with the price I’m aware I couldn’t afford a mac anyway)
I’m going to be doing a course that deals with English and media so no business-y stuff required.
I know this question is all over the place but I’ve looked on the net and in shops and no one has actually told me what I need (though it’s totally possible I’ve been looking in all the wrong places)
Any advice welcome.

You can buy a netbook if you want. It smalls, and long battery life.
Try Samsung N310, about 320 pounds and long battery life.
It saying about 11 hours, about only 8-9 hours for myself.
But if u need the dvd rewriter buy a normal laptop then.
