Advent Laptops/Notebooks?

I recently bought an advent 9115 notebook/laptop. I was wondering is it just me who is having problems or is any one else struggling to run games on it? I cant run games and the wireless land card is not functioning. Ive installed all the drivers and needed disks. It is currently running on vista and it can sucsessfully conect to the internet, if that helps with any answers.
Answers much appreciated

I wouldn’t try gamming on your laptop since it has an Intel Integrated GMA video card. Intel GMA’s are never good for gamming. Your Laptop is basic with 120 GB or RAM and 1.4 GHZ processor. Sorry but you will probably need a better computer to have more fun.

Unfortunately Advent do not make good products. Cheap and cheerful. (not so cheerful)

Hopefully one day people will start to see that cheap computers are the same as buying a cheap car.

What would you rather, a Kia Pride or a BMW M5?

Buy the best you can afford…

The reason you can’t play games very well is that it has onboard graphics so you can’t do anything about that. Secondly your LAN card, find your CD and install the drivers for it, then link up to the wireless router with a WEP key, etc. Next time, be prepared to spend more money on a laptop otherwise this will come to happen again. £400 laptops aren’t the way forward unless its for word processing, etc.

Your laptop has integrated graphics – which means they’re nowhere near enough to support gaming, due to the powerful system requirements needed to run today’s games.

Laptops are generally not recommended for gaming – unless you fork out a lot of money for one with dedicated graphics, and even then, you can’t beat the graphics cards you can get for desktops.

If gaming’s your thing, you’ll have to get rid of your laptop and get a very expensive laptop with dedicated graphics, or a desktop. It’s unfortunately not possible to upgrade a laptop graphics card, so you’re stuck, I’m afraid.
